My Two Mothers evokes a time (the 1950s and 1960s) and place (Brooklyn) beautifully. Patricia Florio captures the experience of growing up Italian with humor and sensitivity. A fun read for anyone who came from a big, loving, extended family, regardless of their ethnicity. Check it out! - Vicki M
Simple, sentimental and thoughtful. One can see the author's rich family tapestry through the eyes of a precious little girl. The spirit of that little girl thrives still, now in a woman's heart. - Anne B. Henry
I found My Two Mothers to be a delightful surprise. It's a heartwarming story that immerses the reader into the life of a Sicilian family who migrated from Italy to America. I felt a part of that family as the author recreates the vivid description of her Italian upbringing. Wonderfully written, very enjoyable, I fully recommend this book. - Cathy C
